Still got some adjusting/trimming/detailing to do, but, the basic concept looks like it will work.

Are you etching new sides to the hood?

No need, I'm doing the normally aspirated version with a 608 prime mover.  Basically, VO1000 with a flat radiator at the front.

Well yeah, I assumed it was the same version you were working on 8 years ago.  8)

Yes the early DS-4-4-1000 were similar to the VO, but there are still differences.

I have a brass DS4-4-10. Since it's PRR, it gets called a BS10.
I still have to add head and tail lights, but I'm wondering if something belongs behind the front screen.

If you look at NS 1000 and 1001, the door layout and louvers along the side are identical to the Atlas VO1000.
