HostGator 500 Errors Galore!

17:15 CDT, 2014/05/14 - about every other click on TRW is barfing to a hostgator.com 500 "server error" page. Persistence gets you through.

I've been seeing a handful of HostGator errors again over the last ~24 hrs.  Also lots of connection latency.

Added - I'm also seeing what might be a side effect of the latency: I am sometime unable to copy & paste to or from a Railwire window in my Chrome browser.  This happened a few minutes ago while trying to make another post, but it doesn't happen anywhere else on my system, or in other sites using Chrome.  It *could* be a Chrome problem, but I've never seen it happen elsewhere and I've now seen it happen at least twice here.   I only mention it because it is very frustrating to be in the middle of composing a post and then have no way to finish it (short of typing Picasa url's by hand) or to save it for editing later (copy & paste to another app doesn't work).

Since Sunday they have had a number of database issues and for the first time, have been helpful in telling me that instead of pretending that there is no problem.

I'll be on the lookout for the copy and paste problem...

Site performance in the dumper this morning (8/8/14 @ 1120). 30-90 seconds to turnaround a click. No errors here, just mega-slow.

Ditto, as of 12:30 PM EST. Took almost 3 minutes to post this, another minute to modify it, and half the time the site images don't load.

I'm making progress with Hostgator.  They recognize that there is a server issue right now.
