Has anyone made a reefer in the above scheme?

What scheme?

If you're talking about a (any) car decorated with MNX reporting marks, I don't think they've been made in N.  The only thing I can think of is if MTL did one as part of one of their meat reefer 6 packs, but I don't think so.

National Car was a subsidiary of the Fruit Growers Express, created in February 1929 for the purpose of hauling meat, and only used NX as a reporting mark.  Depending on what type of car you are wanting to model there are a couple of models available that are accurate or nearly so for these cars but I don't believe that any have ever been painted for NX.

, and only used NX as a reporting mark.

National Car had several reporting marks under their umbrella but for cars listed as 'National Car Company' they used NX and MNX and in the 60's MNX cars outnumbered NX cars by quite a bit.

Micro Trains made two National Packing Company, 40' steel reefers, with reporting marks MERX in November 2011.  Part numbers 059 00 161 & 162. --Brian

Ops - MERX is a reporting mark for MDT....
