Received today - very pleased overall...   Lowell plans to do up to 12 NS cars (2 additional announced) - over the next few years assuming availability of stand-ins.... Biggest issue for me is - try to expand the train myself (decals are available) or just add it to an Amtrak train (not sure this particular car is set up for that?

The next two listed on the web page are the "Maryland" and "Michigan" due in December.  http://lowellsmith.net/product/ocs-23-maryland-michigan/

An interesting question is what else is out there to use as standins for other cars?

Isn't the NYC Sandy Creek available from Intermountain/Centralia?  That car was recently added to the NS fleet, but it carries RPCX marks since it is personally owned by Wick Moorman, not NS.

I suspect that some of the smoothside coaches are close to something from Intermountain, Kato or Rapido?

And of course the Delaware, the full length dome from Bachmann....

Cell phone photo...  I presume the blanked out area would be a kitchen?  But shouldn't there be vents above??

Shouldn't be though a few were used as a diner - lounge observation and as a "day" business car, like Conrail #10[/a] and [url=http://rr-fallenflags.org/sout/sou-virgin-goaa.jpg]Southern's Carolina

And, yes, there should be vents but that is if they based it off of one of these car types.
