Only a block from my house,former D&H GP38-2 7304,Ex LV 304, was involved in a heck of a grade crossing accident today.A truck with a 53' trailer ignored signs,and got stuck on the tracks.The police immediately called a wrecker,but, too late..Still in the Blue & gray,7304 approached the crossing at about 25 MPH.The crossing is on a blind corner,running long hood forward,7304 ran into the trailer,pushing the truck a hundred or more feet down the track..The truck was destroyed,7304 looks to have only minor damage..The driver was cited..
