All new MTL Heavyweight Body Style
« on: April 04, 2014, 05:14:06 PM »
+1

Other than my cat who got into my work files, Railwire is the first to get this announcement.  Barring any unforseen changes or technical problems....

I want to thank Chris for his help with research and his patience with all my questions.  If this gets messed up or the hood is too wide, it is not his fault.  Look for a new truck to help this float down the tracks.  We will hold off doing Erie markings after we have exhausted all  the possible fantasy schemes :D

Diner update...tooling is moving along at a blistering rate but I don't have a release date as of right now.  Stay tuned.

Cheers

Joe

Thumbs up!  I request that the roof vents be tooled as separate detail parts on a fret in the box that are press-fitted into place, similar to the reefer roof hatches, flat car stakes, and the tank car hazard placards.

Whoa, never thought I would see something like that! While you guys are hittin the Erie, you know the Lackawanna had 3 28-1 parlors in two different paint schemes. Really looking forward to this car.

:|          Wonderful, but you should really do the Erie first and get it out of the way. I vote + for separate press in roof vents.                          Nate Goodman (Nato). Salt Lake, Utah.

These would be good to release two at a time or in pairs packaged together, plus a single.

Congratulations to you and MTL Joe,
It is good to see MTL spreading the HW items around. I am sure that a lot can be done with this model.

And I would say that if anyone knows of other railroads cars that were close to these I bet it would be a good idea to let Joe know even if the door arrangements might be different.  ;)
