Harry, most likely PayPal invoices will be sent to the Railwire members around a week before the kits are posted for sale on the website.  I'll collect the email addresses I don't have on file a week or so before that.

Hello Bryan,

Please put me down for (4): two each of the ACL and MEC styles.
Thanks so much for bringing these out!

Okay, we're over the 100-piece ceiling.  The thread is going to stay open.  But these reservations will be filled contingent on the molds holding up (and the masters holding up through subsequent mold-making procedures) and the availability of additional OEM parts.

All this makes me wonder if other odd ball prototypes are viable to produce this way?  If it was a more mainstream car I would have ordered even more.

It's not an easy task, given that these types of projects are at the mercy of available OEM parts.  I can say that the G32C is set at 50 pieces and it would be difficult to extend the run much beyond that.  It makes little sense, given the low 100-car quantity of the prototype and it's unlikely to spot multiples in any one given consist.  But the availability of the various OEM parts play a factor as well.

Bryan

When you say "at the mercy of OEM parts" what does that mean exactly?

Original Equipment Manufacturer.  Simply put, commercially-available components made by other manufacturers — such as Micro-Trains couplers or Fox Valley wheelsets — that you have no direct control over the cost or the availability.
