Holy mother-lode of great stuff. This will become a huge time-sucking monster. I only wish they hadn't gotten all artsy-fartsy and tiled so many of the negs...

This one just blows me away: http://www.flickr.com/photos/barrigerlibrary/12329025483/in/set-72157640554237773

Yep, was thinking the same thing.  Also these photos are reversed so if you want to see them propery hou have to save and flip them.  Correction, some of the photos are reversed.  I understand they are still going over them to check this.

Some are reversed, some are correct, and some are upside-down!

Also, you can't save them (right-click disabled). Need to do print-screen and paste to image app. What a PITA.

They can be downloaded and saved, David. The group of icons on the right, there is an ellipsis. Click on that, select "download", and you'll get a new page with a menu of several sizes. Click on the size you want, you'll get another page with the image, which can then be right-clicked.

There is absolutely some fantastic stuff there. I just found a photo of the interlocking and tower at the IC/CB&Q/SOU junction down the street from our house. It doesn't hurt that Mr. Barriger apparently had a thing for signals - incredible documentation of the practices of his time.

A good one for the turnout scratchbuilders: http://www.flickr.com/photos/barrigerlibrary/12224283903/in/set-72157640327786784/.

It is a shame these are only Flickr  :RUEffinKiddingMe:

If you right click the photo and select "original size" when that one loads up you can save it. Very time consuming. Like this:

You can also type "sizes/o" after the first set of numbers then right-click and DL if that's faster for you.

There's probably a way to go directly to download the original file, but I doubt at that point you're saving any time over a single right-click.

Found 2 photos of Erie in Warren OH

Coming from either Chicago or Cleveland into Warren. Station is over the bridge to the right

Then right at the station the tracks swing over into the road on a gaunlet track for 2 blocks.

Seems to be an issue with the site now. What you guys do.

All I get is a page with a little girl and a Panda with this little saying,

Bad, bad panda!
Come on. We want photos.
We’re aware of the problem and are fixing it. Thanks for your patience.

I was e-mailed these last week and at that time there were only like 6-7 albums. Maybe there is even more coming?

Apparently it's a work in progress. I've noticed additions throughout the day today.

It is sort of a pain trying to recognize places when the photos are reversed. But I did find another gauntlet track that was near me. Sharon, PA the Erie main went about 2 blocks and crosses a bridge.

The same area now (NS) has a turnout at each end:
http://binged.it/1fNxpGp
The reason for the gauntlet here was so the NYC (LS&MS) could squeeze through (other bridge)
