Wow, Joe is doing a really great job on those.  Amazing for being mass produced! :tommann:

Yes, it is a really good job but when Tom Mann says that.....take a bow Joe!

I have to agree with Tom - while I like to think I'm getting better at weathering, Joe has really upped the game with his work on this line.  The realism has increased with nearly every release.

I really wish MTL would release more high-side 4427s.  A NP runner pack would be da bomb, and there are a slew of post-1970 TLDX lease schemes that could find a home on many layouts and are suitable one-off releases.  Or maybe Microscale could focus some attention on decals for (lease) schemes suitable for existing body styles in N?  Like both versions of 4427s, more for the 40' and 50' PS1, and the manufactured tank cars.
Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.

I know, right.  This baffles me to.  MT introduces new tooling and releases about 4-5 roadnames or so and then abandons it for a long period.   :RUEffinKiddingMe:

I checked Spookshow's freight car encyclopedia, and I don't see a listing for a Micro-Trains 4427 covered hopper. There is a Walthers 4427 listed, however.

What's going on?

Hmm... I don't know...
nobody knows...

Two scientists create a teleportation ray, and they try it out on a cricket. They put the cricket on one of the two teleportation pads in the room, and they turn the ray on.
The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.
"It works! It works!"

It would be nice if a company emerged to licence production of some of these models from MT, Kato, etc.  They seem to have limited capacity and with the tooling in place...

And to correct myself, they have done 9 schemes.

Ah, that looks like what's listed as a Micro-Trains PS2 covered hopper that I found on eBay. That car isn't listed on Mark's site, but the MTL Evans covered hopper (different rib spacing, among other differences) is listed.

I never realized Micro-Trains made two similar covered hoppers.

Hmm... Kiz and I finally
agree on something...
