Looks like a long needed niche is filled for steam and transition era modelers....

Too bad they didn't do the Pennsy GLD in circle keystone...  The GLD were almost all gone by the shadow keystone era.

However, I bought one of Bachmann's recent tank car releases and I love it.  Very free rolling, well proportioned...  I may pick up a Pennsy GLD just because!

This. I also would appreciate multiple road numbers.

Oh, I thought this thread was going to be about overhead clearance issues

To echo Dr. Dave, recent Bmann rolling stock have been great both detail- and rolling-wise.
The only issue I've seen are the big-a$$ couplers, which most of us would swap out for Zs anyway.

Runner packs appreciated!

Thanks for the head's-up.  Just ordered five CRR and one PRR.  The CRRs will be repurposed as NH and the PRR will be redecorated in the proper CK scheme.  I'll replace the boxing gloves with AccuMates.

Looks like I'll have to make a run with by gift card to pick up a couple.  Since I have a few CK decals I'll have to use them.

Why doesn't Bachmann do multiple car numbers, especially on hoppers and tank cars? I don't get it....don't they enter us to buy multiple cars?

Bachmann is slowly catching upto the other vendors on how items are manufacturers are releasing items. It's started with the prototype specific releases, but they are still bringing the freight cars upto the current market standards.

Super impressed by this release from Bachmann same quality and detail as the Northeastern Cabooses. Definitely a winner, posting a couple happy snaps to pass along for those interested. I switched out the wheelsets with some FVM 33's at .553" axles. Disregard the finger smudges

I went to Caboose Hobbies today in Denver and was very disappointed that they didn't have these in stock yet (or the Atlas S2 either).

Dave the Atlas S-2s are not out yet.  Think you mean the Bachmann S-4.

P.S.  I though I took a giant leap to the West today as a train with 3 BNSF units and then one with 2 UP units came through within a couple minutes.

No, I don't...  They had plenty of Bachmann S-4s.  Their website suggested they had the S-2s in but they weren't.

Very impressive.  I should have mine this week, then I'll change the wheels, couplers and graphics.  This was New Haven's prototype, but I wasn't going to wait for Bachmann to release it with incorrect graphics.  A few more of my MTL fleet is about to be retired and disposed of.
