Looks great but you need to fix the quartering on the third driver! Or fix drivers one, two and four. Your choice!

Thanks Dave,

I moved to just selling the castings.  My problem is if I build the engine I end up wanting to KEEP IT!

That's why you gotta build 10 at once and do the Henry Ford thing.
Hell, I think the shells are the easy parts! Especially if they're one of yours. If you sold mechs along with unfinished shells...

I am missing what you are speaking of on the boxed in portion on the cylinders under the fireman's running boards and the running boards appear to be in the correct length as compared to this proto pic.  Of course, I don't have any books on Pennsy M1's, so please show a picture of a "Pennsy" Built M1 with these details.  Thanks for the help.

Here's a close-up of the left side.  Notice how that equipment box actually sits on a shelf that is built in below
the walkway.  It just looked to me like that shelf wasn't there on your model.


As for the walkway, I'm trying to find a convincing straight-on, left-side photo to show what I'm talking about.
It looks to me like the walkway that goes over the top of the cylinders on the left side should stop
at the front edge of the cylinders, whereas yours extends a little past that point.  That's all I meant by that one.

By the way... I know I'm crazy...

Dave V can correct me on this if I'm wrong, but I believe that is the signal control box rather than an equipment box.  The original (steam era) boxes had the three hinges and longer than the two-hinge modern (diesel era) boxes that were common on the Conrail units.  The original-style signal boxes were salvaged when steam power was scrapped and used on various Pennsy (and PC and CR) diesels as well.

Yes, pretty certain that's the cab signal box. Since PRR had cab signals in all road locomotives by the M1a/b era, the box is appropriate for this model.

Hey, so about that T1 mech... It would be awesome if there was a run for that.  I have no idea how much something like that would have to cost for you to make it profitable, but I do want one.
