I thought that Mark only covered working model locomootives. These are non-operational (unpowered) diecast toys. Still, a cool find!

Geez, for $15 (shipping included), this is a really cheap way of getting your hands of a nostalgic piece from your youth!  That is cheaper than an average N scale boxcar nowadays.

I was able to find my first train set on eBay few years back (an old Berliner TT Bahnen meter gauge train set), but it came from New Zealand and it cost me over $100 bucks.

Sometime in the late 70's I converted one of these to HOn3 by widening the wheel gauge. Made something sort of resembling the D&RGW #50.  And the last time I checked it still runs!....Mike

The UP passenger set was my first N scale. Bought it from America's Hobby Center for $9.00,if I recall correctly. (And I have to say that the AHM diesel I had later on was far worse...)
