NS Heritage Units - 17 down, 3 to go...

In the approximately 15 months since the Heritage Fleet hit the road, I've spotted 17 of them - all within 30 miles or so of Enola Yard outside of Harrisburg.

I'm missing the Erie, Southern and Norfolk & Western.  Ironically, I model the Erie and I missed it by an hour on a trip to Marion OH earlier this year...

Interesting, 2 out of 3 you need to see are the only two I have seen in the flesh, the Erie and Southern. I caught them on an empty coalie headed north to Roanoke back around Easter of this year. Good luck!

I wish I had your count of 17 down, 3 to go.  Instead, I have 3 down, 17 to go.  (Central of Georgia, Penn Central, and Illinois Terminal spotted in Delaware)

I actually caught the Monongahela in Minneapolis in the BNSF Northtown yard a few weeks back.

The Reading was here last week too.

According to the heritage tracking website, Norfolk and Western unit is in Enola as we speak (4PM on Tuesday), came in from Hagerstown, MD.  And the Southern unit was around 3 weeks ago.  Erie unit has been on a route from Virginia to Kentucky to Ohio and back.

Geeeez, if I didn't have a customer coming in early tomorrow, I'd be taking the long way to work via Enola just to try and see the N&W unit.  Maybe with some good luck it will go south to Hagerstown during the day...

Back on Memorial Day weekend, when the NKP 765 was in town for the Horseshoe Curve runs, there were a total of 5 Heritage Units in or around Enola.
