I haven't been posting photos of it, but I've been carving foam pretty regularly over the past few weeks.
It's taking lots of time, and seems like a never-ending process, but getting the underlying land forms right is so key to a realistic scene that it's worth it.
It's also a LOT easier to do before the foam is all glued down, which is why "above the roadbed" progress has been waiting for it to be further along.
So, here we go, heading north past Codorus Creek.
Here you can see the "Hanover Junction" scene. HJ is about 20 miles south of here, but the spot on the layout just lent itself to it so well that I had to do it.
And here's the result of the area being worked on based on the photoshopping of last week.
While I was shooting those, I shot this too.
