Has this ever happened in reality? Not trying to be the proto police, it sounds interesting and I'd love to see it...

I also Like how the reinforcement did its job preventing further damage to the arch.

I believe Ed's Law applies here.
But I really like the idea of the shoo fly and repair crew...  THAT will get you the Blue Foam Award for 2016.

That would create an interesting scene, but with hurricane Agnes being 13 years before Ed's era his maintenance crews would have to work slower then the city counsel... Perhaps a permanent re-alignment with the damaged bridge returning to nature in the background.

Nope. Agnes is the lynch pin in my plan.

I'm thinking I'll probably just go with the stone arch, and add some fresher looking rip rap along the embankment.

Since you're doing late fall/winter scenery, I tested a couple of supertree armatures with used dried tea leaves.

There's certainly precedent for those good-looking trees, Adam.  Our oak trees seem to hold their leaves until much later into the fall/winter than the other deciduous trees around here.

Oh yeah, those look really good, and will provide some nice variety. I'm realizing I'm going to be needing a ton of trees for the NCR North section. Like, at least 8 linear feet of between 6-8" depth. Those should break it up kinda nicely.

Just make a couple every night...

And start buying the big family size tea bags.  I used dried tea leaves for ground cover and the occasional tree foliage with pleasantly aromatic results!

Lee: Any observed difference in color if used or not used (to make tea)?  I've only used them after I made tea.

Me too.  They come pretty dry in the bag, then I would dry them out again after brewing.  I suppose there's some degree of fading with the tannin going into your beverage.  To my eye it works well for duller dark greens than one can usually find in the Woodland Scenic aisle.
