I used to race sports cars at Willow Springs Raceway back in the 60s.  I always hoped my race would be scheduled before 2:00 pm when the wind really kicked up.  It could really cause my little 800 lb Lotus formula junior to "dance" thru the "sweeper" and button-hook turn leading onto the front straight.
