Milw Rd "Rapids" series Skytop Lounge shell

Hi all,

The Milwaukee Road "Rapids" series Skytop Lounge shell is available again. The shells were formerly available from Jim Stillman of Nscaleskytops.  Jim graciously let me borrow the reworked master model and I have made a RTV mold. Castings are now available from my website SkytopModels.com Included is an underframe casting with all the details attached.



You may want to check out the new castings even if you have one of the originals. Jim rebuilt the master to include more details and to get better window reproduction.

Note: I also have the master for the "Creek" series sleeper Skytop but haven't made a mold yet. I want to see how the "Rapids" car does before I invest the time (and money) in making an underframe and casting up both parts.

No, sorry. Jim offered it to me also but the master was damaged and needed repair.

This great news for Mil Rd and CN modelers - CN bought the Creek series and used them on the Ocean until the Canadian Transportation Safety Board woke up from their coma one day, banned them for a lack of a back door and then went back to their slumber of stupidity....

This is one of the early, non improved Stilman Creek cars

No if only someone would make a pop in window set for the rear of this car, I would definitely buy one .... even it has absolutely no realistic place on my pike !
