Found some 1914 issue of Engineering News on e-bay. Had some photos of Lake Erie & Eastern bridges in Y-town. LE&E was a shortline of the P&LE. It was only about 6 miles long, but it was doubletracked and way overbuilt with many large bridges (like 17) and viaducts.

Hard to believe they are 100 years old.

This one was removed last year to let CSX have more clearance:

Caught a mixed Juice/COFC train running north out of Hyattsville, MD Sunday evening as I was out picking up dinner:

New CP SD30C-ECO leading a pair of blue and yellows... one DME, one ICE:

With the former SOO SD60's being placed in storage immediately after rebuild, a trio of rebuilds, lead by an SD60M no less, is a real treat on the eXpressway.

I came across this former Gettysburg Railroad caboose in Georgetown, Delaware, where it has been hanging around for a number of years.  Rumor has it that this caboose is of Illinois Central heritage.

I'd say the rumor is likely true:

(These cabooses were custom-built here in Centralia in 1971.)

Yep - those are IC's version of the extended vision cupola design.

Gettysburg equipment can be found everywhere.  Gettysburg #105 "County of Adams" has gone from Gettyburg, to Oklahoma to Mississippi and is now located in Defiance, Ohio.  All under the Pioneer Railcorp flag.
