Baldwin DRS 4-4-1500/AS16 Shapeways

Received my shell last night, and it looks pretty good. The layering is minimal, so it should clean up nicely. I will have to figure out what to use for the screens, but that should not pose a problem. I will try to get some pics tonight, but with Thursday nights being pretty full already, it may be Friday.

What chassis are you using for this? RSD-4/5? I've been wanting one of these (SP of course) for years and I'm really interested in seeing your progress  :)

Wheels look evenly spaced.  Not RSD.

A Kato RSC-2 chassis?

Heh, I looked at this picture for some time before I noticed that it had been only three days since the last velociraptor incident.   Looks good, Iain!  Can't wait to see it in NS Ry. paint.

Would that shell work for an AS-616?

Thinned down to fit.

Working on decals; trying to find a font that matches the NS font for next step.

Drawing them in Cad at full size; turns out the yellow stripe is right at a foot tall.  Also need to work on color matching it; the only photos I have of the NS Baldwins when they're clean are black and white.

Iain,

Can you use any guidance from the Norfolk Southern heritage unit #8114?  There's plenty of pictures of that.
