Trains up and running again, working on new yard arrangement and some industry spurs off said yard.  Nothing picture worthy though

As for me, I built and installed this beastie:



It's the beginning of the passenger terminal throat.  The next step involves laying out the approximately one train length of double track to the main throat.  That will allow me to assemble and test the configuration that we hammered out some time ago, as well as give me temporary storage space for two passenger trains.  THat means more trains on the layout simultaneously!

Its the K5 from BLMA, and in this configuration it looks very similar to a P5.

With all due respect to railroad museums, I feel like I am at a natural history museum seeing "stuffed animals" instead of being in nature seeing live animals or at least at a zoo to see the live animal. I will not try to defend the analogy, it is simply the way I feel. I love trains.

Never thought about it that way , but that analogy hits the nail right on the head . What might a petting zoo equate too ?
