The Penn Gas hopper is interesting, I will have to see if they had something close. And more schemes for the USRA box car! Never can have too many.

Another month that I get to save the money. The only tempting item for me is a boring (but sometimes you need boring cars) DRGW 40 OB box. The Penn gas hopper is a possibility too, but everything else is a miss for me. Thanks MT for running the UP caboose but I no longer need any of them.

The N&W box looks interesting and the GN tank a definite, provided research pans out they're both accurate.  I'm still holding my breath for a NP high-side 4427 runner pack and the same car in NAHX and some early TLDX private leaser schemes (ADM, Cargill, Pillsbury, Early & Daniels, MCA, Midwest, Continental...)

+1 on the 4427's. Also would really like more Evans 4780's in the Erie western scheme and the elevator schemes.

Such a easy to ignore cars because it's not flashy, but so much more typical than the flash'n'glam schemes in the overall RR world.

The MILW observation is correct for the model's prototype, but the model has an incorrect car name.

The class is GLa on the Penn Gas hopper.  That along with the ornate lettering scheme and archbar trucks seems to indicate that the Bowser model is the appropriate model to wear this scheme.

I know Penn Gas had GLa hoppers, but I was hoping they may have had something close to the MTL hopper, but after 5 minutes of research they didn't, so I guess I can only go with the USRA box.

The "City of Portland" was built for use on the "Olympian" 7/1927, as a Lounge, Buffet, Observation, floor plan 3982.  It was sold to US Military 7/1943.  The MTL model is a 3 Compartment, 2 Drawing Room, Lounge, Observation floor plan 3959.

Yup.  And MILW had Plan 3959 cars.  Silver series.  Plan 3950 has the same window arrangement I believe.  Crystal series.  MILW had them too.  Nine prototypical cars to choose from in total.
