Problem solved.

1) Loco on isolated programming track as before

2) DT 400 as before

3) Direct mode as before

4) Changed CV 29 to 38--new step as recommended in TB thread

5) Toggled DT 400 to Ad 4

6) Programmed four-digit address--WORKED!

Best regards,

Roger

Well good for you, Roger, sorry if we/I hijacked your thread. How does she sound and run? Mine runs fine but the sound is well, just a bunch of noise not really resembling a steam loco... Whistle is good though... :)
Still waiting to find the 4664N....

Otto-- I haven't heard the new tsunami equipped version but I am fairly pleased with the sound.  Good bell and, as you said, a nice throaty whistle.  Steam chuffs get a little "muddy" at speed but then again so does the real thing.

The local PBS station is sending a producer/reporter over tomorrow to view the layout in hopes of doing a half hour segment so I wanted to have sound on everything that I will operate for them.  My strong suit is structure building but that doesn't make for very interesting TV :D
Best regards,

Roger
