While I've been dealing with insurance companies and prepping my basement for its new resident (a big fun piece of Lee's former WM), I've been somewhat stagnant modeling wise.

Well, since my mega workbench was clean, and I had a Sunday afternoon to work with, I decided it was time to get some ballast and ground cover on the NCR shelf.









I still have lots of cleanup and tidying to do on both the ground cover and the ballast, but it's nice that it doesn't look like the desert anymore.

After I ground cover the rest of the thing. I can't fit it all on the doors at the same time, so I have to do it in sections.

Maybe I'll go finish it tonight.

I gotta say, as much as we sneer at the twinkle lights, they do cast the perfect lighting for a bleak winter scene.  I wonder if you could something with a drop ceiling diffuser to mask them a bit.  (This is something I have in mass quantities at the ReStore...)

Other than that, your work, as usual, is merely adequate.

i like this shot a lot.  It has potential...   once you finalize some of the details...    i see what you're saying about the whit background (vs a blue backdrop)...  you could easily photoshop in a sky...  but then you would lose those twinkling stars in the clouds.
