DKS: If this becomes reality, does that man that there will be no more new products coming from NZT?  After all, large scale model railroad (especially of that size) will require a very large investment of time.  Or will you incorporate this project into your business stratergy and offer large scale detailing products?  Will NZT become GNZT?   :D

I foresee no changes in my NZT business strategy. I will likely have a healthy team of volunteers to help with the project (already have a few ready to commit, one of whom may have a locomotive to donate). At any rate, likely nothing will happen for a year or so.

Thanks David for your comments on the plans and other land uses.  Looking forward to seeing this happen.  I'd be volunteering to help if it weren't so far!

DKS,

I'm close enough that I would love to lend a hand, because I'm excited about this proposal of yours.  Since I can't work or operate on Lee's layout anymore (except when I'm at seusscaboose's layout . . . or Ed's . . . or Phillip's . . . or sizemore's ;)), I can use what would have been time there to volunteer on yours, if you like.

Dave, you could commit me if I said no! Thanks for your most generous offer. My sincere hope is that I'll be able to take you up on it...

I'd be in too if you'll have me. I've built 1:1 scale before, so I've got some experience. We should also get started on your Tesla coil to apply static grass.

Shame it's not 7.5" gauge.
That'd do excellently to represent 2'3" gauge for a 1:3.5th scale model of "Dolgoch" from the Talyllyn Railway in Wales.

Here's a Clerihew about Ed. K.

Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
But mention his law
and you've pulled your last straw!

Alternate version:
Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
He asks excitedly "Did you say Ménage à Trois?"
No, I said "Ed's Law."
