The photos were taken with only one string. I will be adding a second one, one along the back of the upper fascia and one along the front of the upper fascia.

I really like the color of these, and give off a nice sunny warm white to my eyes and not the yellow that Brendan's appeared to be giving off. I do not plan on trying any other colors other than picking up a blue string to test for "night ops".  The power supply that I used for the test strip was just a plain old jump pack, but I plan on using a 500W PC power supply with the strings wired in parallel which the calculator for these light strings I found says will be more than enough.

Uh, yeah, but he's talking about a 12VDC bus for the LED strips. That's 40 amps. Needs big wires and big protection.

Computer power supplies have several different voltage outputs.

The 500W is the total capability of all the outputs.  The 12V output is just a small fraction of the 500W.  For example, the 12V supply in my PC can source 15 Amps (180W).

No. They were specifically deigned not to be included in any future layout.

I'll second the enjoyment of your progress.  Always enjoy your work.  Are you putting a valance over 'the blob'?  Also, is your backdrop just attached by the 1x's around the outside edge, and have your had any expansion or contraction issues with it?  The last time I tried hardboard attached to the framed house wall it expanded and buckled on me.  Maybe setting it out from the wall on the 1x frames helps prevent this?
