The 210' Reliance-class cutters started service in the mid 1960s and, via repeated upgrades, are expected to serve until the mid 2020s. Originally built with horizontal exhaust stacks exiting the transom, vertical stacks were added in the mid 1980s.
The model has a cast resin hull, with a built-up styrene superstructure. Custom photo-etched brass includes the railings, stairways, and helicopter safety nets around the helipad. The safety nets can be modeled upright as shown or deployed. Models are available with or without stacks, and with a variety of mission boats and boat handling cranes. At only 15.75" long, these models are ideal for smaller harbors. Any of the 14 ships of the class can be ordered for any time period: the electronic gear on the masts and platforms shows tremendous variety over time.

I am working on a 1:160 model of the Dauphin helicopter now used by the USCG, but there is no guarantee of success. A 1:144 model is available.
A built-up model, custom painted and decaled, is $950.00 US, plus shipping and insurance.
Due to the difficulties in building this model, a complete kit is not available at this time.
