Who said I work fast?  Finally.....some progress on the 49. Which got a push due to the Pennsy M1.  Both using the same mechanism-

Really cool, Jason.  The shell looks good.  I think that streamliners, because of all their curvy lines and profiles,
may be the types of shells that lend themselves to your casting techniques best of all.   It
should enable you to get a shell that preserves the profile of engines like this better than
one could every make out of tubes and pieces.   I think that is true of this one (and the PRR T1).

So here is a little progress on the streamlined 4-8-2 /  49er.

The tender has been started.  The tender trucks and frame are from a shorted Bachman Vandy tender.


The board were individually cut and hatches cast from a hatch on an SP C-160 tender.
