The Cotton Belt set has been out since last summer. If a better picture see your favourite online dealers from Baltimore's micro train listings. 5 sets left.

Large packs of 100t hoppers in the works and if you have some ideas, please let me know and I can force the issue  :D

Joe

It's going to be hard to strip those posters off though!  :D

It's like their 100T hopper - they could easily sell 12 car sets in NS, Conrail or NW - but they don't even bother.

I'd be interested in Norfolk & Western runner packs. And Southern too, if they had your 100 ton hoppers.

Hmm... I'm interested in
5 pound termite bulk
packs...

Joe,

If you do N&W, please have the artwork corrected. If you need to know what was wrong with the N&W 2-pack lettering PM me.

Conrail.  Conrail.  Conrail.  An eight-pack.  But I would do different artwork for each car, rather than simply renumbering the same artwork.  And, I would base it on actual photos rather than picking one generic photo and basing everything on that.   If it will be done, it should be done correctly.

BN "Rotary Flag" scheme.  You could do some WITH large BN logo...
http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=388889
Similar to your 528932 released...ten years ago?  A 4,5,6,12 pack of these would not even put a dent in how many most BN/BNSF modelers need. (and just about every other modern railroad pulled these around at times)

...or without. (reporting marks only)...
http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=3059017

...or with a "Dash" rotary flag versus the full white end...
http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=3027621

Also could do one with C&S reporting marks...
http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1743241
There's also at least one C&S with the "Dash" as well.  And yes, these C&S cars are STILL around today, almost 30 years "post-mortem."

I would also take a couple in BNSF mineral red with circle logo. (no yellow rotary flag like Atlas did...just plain.
http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=453674

None of the above is done with specific prototypes in mind.   I'm assuming you're going to continue applying various schemes to existing tooling (as Atlas does) as a generic 3-bay open hopper.   Sure, I would like to have more specific cars done but, for now I'll take more road numbers of the cars that are available.

CSX or Chessie System Ortner cars would be good for the 8 packs for the rock runners that CSX runs.

Like Dave said, THIS.

I love my $5 Atlas 90 Tonners for filling out a train. But a combination of these and the Bluford cars would look REAL nice right behind my engines.

I would welcome a Conrail eight pack.  I have bought and renumbered 7 of the two packs MTL released back in 2000 (14 cars total).  I have another four cars to go.  Removing the numbers is a PITA, and I end up removing some of the paint in the process.  I have an additional 12 cars awaiting complete Conrail decal jobs.  The 2000 artwork needs some work.  The reweigh code is incorrect (should be P62, not PG2), the reweigh date does not match the lettering arangement used at that time (9-76 would have the road number running across the top of the car on panels 3-6), the road number appears a little thin and the end numbers are way oversized.  I would also model H43, H43A, H43B and H43C class cars since they had a complete ladder on the right side like the MTL model (CUFT would need changed to 3418).  There are many photos online to choose from.  The CRHS is willing to assist manufacturers if asked!  Thanks.

Also included in this rock runner train are a newer, larger ortner car.  Maybe another car style release for MT ?

For "fresh" cars you can remove the pad printing using Coleman Camp fuel and a Qtip.  We use it here when we need to correct something and it doesn't effect the paint under.  I've done it on my own cars that were printed a month or so earler and it took a bit of work, but the lettering did come off clean.

Helpful Hint #1

Cheers

Huh, well I could have saved a few paint jobs over the years had I known that!     :|   I've been fairly successful with removing lettering on just about every mfg but Micro-Trains was not one of them!   You probably just sold at least a handful of cars with that tip going forward.   Do you guys offer express delivery right off the print line?   ;)

Andy,

Paint job is pretty close except it should have brown trucks since it has a brown roof.  Not sure if the number they put on it goes with this paint job, however (can't tell the number from the photo - sorry).

Nate

Whether it is wholly accurate or not, it still looks really nice, and could probably blend in pretty well with the old Rivarrossi heavyweights if you wanted to have a full train. I'm just hoping this is a prelude to them doing some of their other heavyweight cars in Milwaukee colours.

It sounded like a good idea at the time... too bad the caboose wasn't in on the plan.
