I don't get it. What's the story with that car?

I think the TB a starting a special run series of cars of their  liking . Any in my era would be wanted , don't we all like what is not run of the mill .

The car was from a fairly obscure corner of the MoPac, but these cars circulated all over - beyond the Midwest.

The Cushion script is cool, and it makes for an all around neat car.

Yeah while the final has not been decided, check the link, they have photos of the proposed prototype cars. It's close enough for guv'mint work.

Well I guess if it doesn't have a build date of before 1960 then I'm off the hook for needing one.  :x

You're off the hook Jon, as am I.  The deco scheme looks nifty, but it's difficult to justify for Connecticut in 1980.

Well no modern lower right lettering . I am in for one as it looks good enough to pass for 12/31/1959 .

Just a heads up I received notification that these were shipping via Paypal. Looking forward to another limited run car.

I bought one too. They must have touched Rock Island lines somewhere....

Mine showed up today!  Very excited as my Grandfather worked on the M&I "Mike and Ike" as he called it out of Nashville, IL in the 1930's.

This car fits in wonderfully with my southern Illinois 1970's modeling of the GM&O, as the M&I and GM&O had a crossing in Sparta, IL.

Thanks to whomever put this run together!

I bit on one of these sight unseen to support TrainBoard.  Last time I'm going to do that.  I for one have absolutely no need or use for this car. It appears to be well done, and I have no doubt that it will be appreciated by many modelers out there, but it's totally out of my timeframe.  Oh well.
