Thanks for the comments all. M.C. Fujiwara, nice! Great video and really nice setup you guys have. The only thing is all those floating heads!  :D

So here is the prototype for the NHR box. I know, I know the door on the proto is blue and overall its more brown, but I’m working on it.

Weathering looks good, but whoever manufactured* that car balls-up the reporting marks. That should be NHIR not NHR.  :| Not your fault though.

*I think these are the old MDC "Berwick" boxcars (but actually has Pullman-Standard features...)?

Yes they are along with all the inaccuracies to boot for sure. I picked these boxes up for next to nothing to practice on, but the hammering starting coming out great. Now I feel I need to finish them out (body mount couples and replace the trucks with BMLA ones) and live with the other inaccuracies. I fully intend to pick up a few NHIR boxes from FVM (more accurate) and hammer them based on what I've learned on this (original plan)

I wouldn't use BLMA trucks on the MDC cars, they ride low as is, no need to lower them even more.

I finished up this custom paint locomotive this weekend. I started with an Atlas GP38-2 Lehigh Valley Shell and using photos of the 7324 I customized this paint chipping off locomotive.
