Plot twist:
I've acquired a new layout in a game of chance.

Let's see how we can Pennsify this.

Every night, he plants a new tree.
But mention his law
and you've pulled your last straw!

Alternate version:
Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
He asks excitedly "Did you say Ménage à Trois?"
No, I said "Ed's Law."

I looks very familiar  ;)

I think there was a thread way way back that had some ideas about turning this plan into a Pennsy layout

Excited to see your take on it. What are the dimensions?  :)

. . . and seeing how the guy who already Pennsified that plan and is dissatisfied with it, you should scrap it and try again.

You know, I THOUGHT it looked familiar!

Nature abhors a vacuum. Dave talks about tearing down the JD, and then this drops in to my lap.
Get ready for Josh's Juniata Division!
Or not. ;)

Seriously though. Here's the story. Ed's NCR shelf isn't going to make the move, so @btsnyder27 offered to trade this for it.

I think this will be what I need for right now as a home layout until "the big one". I'll hope to build up some NTRAK modules that will scratch my 4 track main itch.
I just need to figure out what to do with this. Maybe I can get away with Gallitzin? I don't know.

The more I think about it the more I really realize it's just too damn small for the size of my...roster.

Is that Atlas code 55?  If so you've got a better start than I had.  Watch those turnouts, though, if they are.  I used Atlas code 55 turnouts on my Enola yard extension and my Colorado Midland.  There are some gauge issues to watch out for and the other issue is that little phosphor bronze wiring tab for powering the frog likes to disconnect from the frog over time.  Others have had problems with the point hinges coming apart.

My plan for a Juniata Division Version 2.0 is to use ME #6s wherever possible and then for whatever Atlas ones I require to preemptively try to fix the point hinge issue and solder the frog feeder directly to the frog.

where are you moving?

We're definitely moving next summer.  It's probably going to be Pittsburgh.  We're looking forward to moving back home and spending time with our families  and having my son grow up knowing his grandparents.  My wife is from Beaver (lol)  and I'm from Johnstown.
