Which year did these hoppers first appear? Spookshow's site says the early 1970s, but I can only use them if it was 1971 or earlier.

Two scientists create a teleportation ray, and they try it out on a cricket. They put the cricket on one of the two teleportation pads in the room, and they turn the ray on.
The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.

The FMC 4700 first appeared circa 1973, IIRC.  The earlier Gunderson Bros 4692 built 1971, though different, is sometimes lumped in with the 4700 production totals.

Thanks for the info on the Gunderson car. I found some photos of it, and I saw enough similarities to my Precision Masters cars to keep them. I'm chiseling off the two extra ribs per side right now. Woo hoo.
