Milwaukee Road Alco RSC 2 Exhaust Stacks

In looking at pictures of the subject engines, there appears to be a modification to the factory exhaust (I am not talking about the four sent back to Alco that received low hoods). Were these re engined and can anyone refer me to a picture if a top view?

Are you talking about the additional ducting? I'm pretty sure that's not for the exhaust, but an attempt at a winterization system, to redirect radiator warmth from the fan shroud back into the carbody. Basically a homebrew equivalent of the EMD winterization hatch.

The exhaust stacks look relatively unmodified... they have an extension, but that's about it.

To tell you the truth, from the other views I saw on rrpicturearchives, it looks like they hired a local HVAC guy to fabricate this mess. The ducting looks straight out of a tinsmith's catalog. I'd take what I know about A/C ducting, take a SWAG at the dimensions from the photos, and let 'er rip.

Thanks for the tip. I went to the website, and at the price of shipping ($12.00) for 1-6 magazines, I will work from the pictures. I wish they would offer the issues on CD or at least get real on the shipping price. Maybe even an online download.
