The artwork has the line:

Pre-production art only - does not reflect the molding changes which will be present on the final unit.

Wonder if Kato felt pressure with the FVM announcement to get their art work and information out.

Certainly breaks from their latest way of getting stuff to market where the new announcement would be due in stores by the end of the month...

I hope so!  Imagine what might happen if someone announces an SD40-2.  ;)

...and CSX cans too.  Excellent.

Maybe we crashed the Kato server.. I can't get connected to see the announcement...

I was just posting the same thing, was thinking it was on my end.
Attempting to model a modern Southern Pacific based in 2015/2016...

Also, I have a passenger train addiction...

That happens every time Kato sends out an e-mail.

I'm just happy there's nothing I need in all this mess.   Some great models though!

Ouch.  Gonna need a few of those MAXI-IVs.  Great container choices too.

Just need one with Schneider cans on it and I'd be happy.

Holy announcements Batman!

I can pass on the Swift cans, I have some from DI, but the AOK/CSX set is making me an offer I can't refuse.

(And is there a thread on all the Atlas stuff?)

Well this is going to be interesting, Kato will have tooling for 2004 and 2012 but FVM will have tooling to cover 2004-2011 (2012 too possibly) along with the SD70M-2 and rear ditch lights. Who to choose?

I think that covers every variant, pretty good!  I'm in saving mode now- the fleet will grow a lot this year.
