No FB for me, so no fun for me.

I'd probably just complain that they devote too much energy to N scale and they really need to direct those resources towards HO  :trollface:

Within other modelling circles, manufacturers have said they get more feedback via face book than forums, consequently they are taking less notice of forums and relying on their Facebook page. Sign of the times, Face book is 'cool', forums aren't.

If you want N scale stuff from Athearn you do what it takes to be heard.

My suggestion is ask the forums , that's where concerned modelers hang out . If they hung out on the forums they wouldn't need to ask on the risky facebook site .

10:1 says a CGW SD40-2 gets done before 99% of the requests on FB today.

You really have to wonder how they are going to go through hundreds of replies, each one with numerous requests, and make any sense of it. This looks like an exercise in corporate BS, not unlike the recorded message that you get whenever you call a company and are informed that "your business is important to us" right before you put on hold for 15 minutes.

I haven't posted this because I'm afraid it might get removed:

Focus on getting those SD40-2s to market (hopefully with a corrected wheelbase). May as well make them in N-scale as well.

How is Facebook any different than the 10-page thread they would get here?  It is harder to anonymously dump on companies on Facebook...

They'll sort through it and maybe find something of interest, or just confirm decisions already made.  I can't see how it will hurt.
