Discontinued TrainCat Items

Busy since returning from Springfield and just got a chance to get things in place.

I have actually given this a large amount of thought long before FVM announced the H30's. Yes, all freight cars (and cabooses) will be discontinued on Feb 1st, but will still be available for purchase until Feb 15th by sending an email to:

discontinued@traincat2.com

Every effort will be made to fill your request. Quite a few of you have sent PM's or forum post for requests. I ask that you use this email address so I can keep track and ensure everyone gets what they want.

All future freight car releases will be a small run of 25 to 150 cars and will be discontinued at the end of the run or 6 months after release date (whichever comes first).

I was going to order one of the SP N-scale C-40 steel cupola cabooses, as they look quite nice on the Traincat website.  Then I discover that I already have an Ajin brass C-40-1 from the 1980s, which is of adequate quality.  Since I'm not sure whether the same model from 2 different manufacturers will match closely enough, I reluctantly decided to pass.

Guys,

I am NOT stopping any new Rollingstock kits from being produced. Matter of fact, this re-modeling of the Rollingstock release structure has actually given me more enthusiasm than I have had in over a year to produce the kits I have wanted to. The only differences will be:

• Limited Run size instead of always available.
• New kit releases will not be announced until ready to ship.
• Kit will be discontinued after the run qty is exhausted or 6 months after release, which ever comes first.

This will ensure I can produce high quality kits without worrying about another RTR manufacturer stranding me with inventory.
