Looks like my gondola will be here tomorrow. Excited to have it in hand and hopefully get started on it soon. What is the eta on the wood D&LW caboose. I need a couple for my Interstate layout. They had a couple they bought off the Lackawanna. I was going to one day scratchbuild a pair one day but with the pending release I won't have to.

So if $818 includesign shape ways material costs ect..... 90-3 = 87 × $36.86 (pp/cc fees) = $3206.82 - $818 = $2388.82 which is before taxes and likely some overhead ect..  / 95 = $25/hr. Likely less than $20 in the end..

Or something like that..   ~Ian

A lot less.  I don't think I factored in the final Shapeways and PPD costs.  It's close to break-even.  I didn't lose money, which was all I was concerned with after all of the setbacks in getting this across the finish line.

I think they would look great coupled to an 8000 gallon acid tankcar !!

Patience, Grasshopper.  8)  Spring 2018 at this point.  Have to concentrate on getting the Trailiner caboose out when they arrive later this month and then focus on the X65 launch which includes ad copy and video and then prepare for Springfield in January.

You won't have to scratchbuild, but the DL&W wood caboose is being reworked.  I think we are going to stay with the laser cut wood main body but it's not definite.  Cupola body probably will change from etched brass to FXD with etched window frames.  Dunmore will be the next caboose to follow, hopefully later in 2018.  Still working on the basic design from Erie blueprints, and how to make the trucks is still undecided.

Thank you very much Byron . And thank you for showing us all heartaches , time , and money involved to market the car .

Rich, in the rush to get the first wave of packages out, I forgot to include the Ertl car in your box.  I will return it to you this week.

You can keep it Bryan , not worth a special package and effort .

I want to thank you for doing this Bryan it has been worth the wait!!!  :D

I just need to wait a little longer to build them.

Mine arrived today. One of the sides is bowed in but I think it will be ok when assembled (if and when I assemble it).  :D

Great news that the D&LW caboose is coming along. Even better news of the upcoming Dunmore caboose. By the way, I got my gondola today.

I've got a bowed side on one of mine as well, but the weight (and probably the floor) straightens it out just fine.
