Don't be so sure.I've seen them moving both east and west on the Chicago- Port Huron/Sarnia line as recently as three years ago.I think their bringing sheet aluminum from the Sault Ste. Marie to the pop can plant in Michigan.I'm getting some.Wagon tops, I remember seeing them in Michigan, in Chessie.

NO, the big S stands for stores. I always thought it was sand but was corrected. Various cars had the big S and they could carry just about anything the railroad needed to keep going.
