Ok SPF's lets compile a list of past announced Pennsy products and hopefully encourage the various manufactures to bring these models to market.

In no particular order, and I think they're correct;

Gra gon-traincat
H25 hopper-traincat
R50b-ghq
FD2-nscale kits
F39- nscale kits
E8 in DGLE- BLI (oh boy),  and I'm not going to mention their other thing  :x
F25-spf design

Anybody got anything else?

Not being able to purchase these because they're not being manufactured makes for an excellent opportunity to actually do some modelling and create them yourself.  Go for it!

The Precision beast is the poster child for this topic . I ordered one and now its been so long I can't remember the whole name of the company or the exact PRR type or wheel arrangement on the model . Been a half a decade I guess , and the manufacturer refused my hobby shop to cancel the order . The hall of shame list of manufactures should be headed by them .

Agreed, if time and talent allowed. These were already announced. Why reinvent the wheel?  The intent of the thread was not to complain, rather, to try and recall all that has been announced in the past and have it listed in one central location. Just to remember what's out there.

Just to remember what's out there.

But it's not.  Schrödinger's cat all over again.  The practical theory is, if you bother to model it on your own, someone will produce it.  Why not get the ball rolling?

umm...what?

I think SPF is just waiting for folks to draft instructions, but maybe if you email him, like I did, he'll sell you some.

But yeah, nothing wrong with discussion as long as it doesn't turn into trolling or flaming.
I'm looking forward to the Gra, the R50b, the FD2 and the F39. I know Traincat is just getting back into the swing of things. We saw updates on the FD2 late last year.

I know PRR Parts announced the FM series a year ago, but ran into some trouble with broken master molds.

Don't let this turn into a "manufacturers ***** list." Save the hate for BLI
Although I still hold out hope.

Dude, as I said there is only so many cats you can skin in a day. And trust me I've rolled many in the past.  ;)

Here's an H

and here's a cabin

So thanks for the advice, but step off.

I like how you did the H graft, especially with the retained bachmann details, but is there a way to lower it a bit, it looks a little high in the saddle to me.

Ed, having done one myself, it's difficult...  The Bachmann chassis is a high-stepper and the motor mount sits high enough that you won't get the boiler as low as you want.  On the other hand you can grind out some of the Trix boiler and get it to sit a hair lower...  Like this:

Is the cabin a modified Bachmann Bobber?  Or did you whip that up from scratch?  Looks real nice.

I like how you want to encourage manufacturers to produce vaporware but dont you know this is the Railwire, we chase most manufacturers off.

The vaporware from PCM/BLI is pretty amazing.  I'm still surprised they list the M1 on their website anymore.
