It's amazing when you really start looking at specific things in nature, you start noticing them all over the place.

I've finally got the retaining wall and tunnel portal installed on the east end of the main.

Have to wait until everything's dry before I can get to the static grass in the area.  Still needs a bit of sanding, painting and weathering.

Also got all the yard covered in a very thin layer of unsanded grout.  Used charcoal for the double ended yard and a mix of 2/3 charcoal/ 1/3 earth for the WBCRR yard.  Looks much bleaker and that it has been around for a real long time.  The textures of it look a lot better, too.

The new phone book's here! The new phone book's here!

Got the red Truc-Train trailers in today.  Now it's starting to look Pennsy.  Got a small shed/office to build for it.

Now only if those damn brown TTX flats would show up.  Might have to start making them, if they don't show this year.

I believe it was Gary who suggested planting a grouping of redbuds, with a link to a photo of such near a mainline.

Added a few small green trees into the mix for a bit of contrast after the pic was taken; it helps the scene.

I'm having the basement steps reinforced, just for you.  I'll have to order another Big Box o'Trees soon, so we can have a tree boiling party!

I'm pretty much free until the fall, no more weekend concerts until next season.

More trees in the ground.

ATTENTION: Sunday's tree boiling party has been cancelled due to someone chickening out, however, if anybody still wants to show up tomorrow or Sunday, I can still fire up the stove.

And now for something completely different: more trees planted...

Plopped trees into the scenery on the left side of the central mountain of the upper level. I'm guesstimating that this area is about four sq ft of tightly packed supertrees.

Now the seldom seen scene - the upper level tunnel portal, from the left side.

Have to slop on some static grass on the hill by the pines, get that breaker properly grounded into the scenery, then rip out those old reeds in the pond, and replace them with my static grass cattails.
