Jason,  how long does it take you to hollow out the resin shell?

Hmm... somebody's been
hollowing out all my
bananas...

Two scientists create a teleportation ray, and they try it out on a cricket. They put the cricket on one of the two teleportation pads in the room, and they turn the ray on.
The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.

Between the holidays, 2 business, 4 kids, a wife, selling castings,  and other projects I've been a little busy.  But here is some 4-12-2 progress, just a few more details and then some paint. At this point the engine has had a lot of run time, the front driver already had a lot of wear.... Oh well easy to replace if needed.

Heh... THERE  it is!  I was wondering what happened to this! ;-)
Seriously, it looks very good.  Nice work on the wire railings and such... nice and straight.  That's not
as easy as it sounds.

Thanks guys for the comments.  Of course, once you post pics you notice your own flaws.  The tender frame has been extended and the front tender truck is now in the correct position.  It took some extra work to get the power pick up to clear everything but it now look a lot better.

That is so TRUE about seeing your own flaws when you take the photos.  That is one big benefit of posting progress work like this to a forum.  It helps your engine come out better!

Something looks hinky about that trailing truck, like it's not secured up into the frame the right way, so it
leans over, in the forward direction.  (I had the same problem with my 4-4-2) )
Maybe it needs a piece of tubing as a spacer?

Your exactly right.... Good eye and thanks for examining it for me.  I had worked on it a little the previous night and did not have the right size tubing to "shim it up".  I have a casting of this trailing truck and will need to redo it to compensate for the flaw.

Thanks again Max
