Fixing a Point-Rail?

So of course no sooner has the glue dried on the ballast, than the hinge on the point-rail lets go.  It is an Atlas C-55 right-handed No.10 turnout, and it will now be a b!!^% to pull out of there.  Is there a any way to reattach it at the hinge-end without pulling it?

Just thought I'd ask.

Thanks for your advice.
Regards,
Paul

That's an easy fix Paul.

Just drop a little solder at the hinge where the point rests on the small brass plate and meets the rail that goes to the frog.

Great idea .. the last one that did that to me - I dremeled out the ties, and just put in a rail joiner to hold the point in .. just like the Peco turnouts do
