Great work Scott. Love seeing those proto pics as well.

More progress.  The line was being inspected today and I caught the crew coming through Skoonka.

The concrete protection on the slope in the foreground still looks a little funny to me, mind you it looks pretty strange on the prototype too.

MOW declared the line safe to operate.  We caught a few of the first trains through the scene.  The foreground will be extended for the river once I get other scenery done.

I can't believe that I switched to HO when you can get such good sound in N scale as that first train in your video.  Did you add sound decoders to each container to replicate those realistic flat spots on the wheels?

I spared no expense!  It took four hours to program each container into a consist.

No real updates due to travel, but I have shifted to using Flickr and this is a test to see if it works.

I'm so excited to see this section of the layout progressing. It looks awesome.

It has been a while.  I went through a serious layout funk: almost switched to HO, almost tore it all out, and did a whole lot of nothing for most of the summer.

I'm finally starting on the completion of the Skunka Tunnels section.  Some wood, a little cutting and screw it all together.  The rest of the river shore will be next and laying the track for the cosmetic CP line.  Progress and a restart of sorts.

I can't even imagine you tearing this layout down, after the hours and hours of work that have resulted in a beautiful layout.  I'm sure it has its drawbacks, as all layouts do, but I'm glad it survives.  I hope you now feel the same way.
