Thanks everyone.  Phillip, yes that is the Showcase Miniatures MOW truck.  I'm a big fan of their kits and one of their signals will protect this approach to the bridge.

I worked on the big sediment exposure along the valley side and tried to (with limited success) simulate the look of this glacial material eroding out.  Cuts into this material are common on the bench above the river level and are a key spotting feature for the area to my eye. 

The prototype picture of the cliff at distance makes it look like the soil is all dust, except for the large rocks and trees. So maybe to duplicate that you can put a layer of fine dust of mixed light colors on the slope after you install the big rocks and before any vegetation. In N scale small gravel and dirt would be dust-sized anyway.The trick would be finding an adhesive that the dust would stick to without coagulating into lumps or smooth spots.

WOW.  Just wow.  Watching the scratchbuilt bridge and this scene come together was a fantastic read.  Magazine-worthy for sure, especially considering the space this was done in.  Phenomenal.

Not many updates, just more trees and fine tuning locomotives.  I also installed a frog juicer to cover one end of the yard (thanks @davefoxx ) and the result is fantastic.
