True, and your trucks look better.  But in my case, with a couple hundred cars and limited income, cost was a bigger factor than speed.

Most of the MTL cars I've lowered also have been via the conventional filing-the-bolsters route.

My 2013 plan is to address this issue with our older rolling stock. The 20k specifically only requires making the bolster post pin longer and and use an under slung coupler body mount. Working on this now.  Possibly offer under frames separate before general release.

Joe:  Wonderful!  The die work on your older cars is still among the best.

Funny how the comments dried up after Joe posted this.

Joe, that would be great, and appreciated by many. Future cars with improved ride heights, and we can buy MTL units to convert older units.

Are we supposed to keep on kvetching (or still try to come up with a home-brewed solution) when we were made aware (right from the horse's mouth) that Micro Trains is already working on a solution?

Ok, I'll go first:  I don't think that Micro Trains will get this right!  Especially if they offer the underframes as a separate item for sale.  That'll never work! They will have wrong thickness and wrong color and nobody in their right mind will buy them.

Is that better for you mplsjct?

Actually, it was more of a tongue in cheek comment.  :D

I guess that I became so smiley-dependent that with the lack of one, I took that comment as a serious one. Besides, with this crew, I can also envision someone still complaining, even after Joe's response.

As you may easily guess, Joe's response is just what I hoped for  8)
I might need a big pack of frames after some initial testing.
