After the last release of from N Scale Structure Studios, I relayed back all the critiques for his future releases, while I know it may not up to Railwire standards.

Here is a pre-production shots of the McCrory's 5 & 10, based on the one in Altoona, PA, to be used to replace Wilhelmi's Mercantile from DPM.

A separate, second floor addition will be sold separately to make this taller.

My comment is the same as the one I made about the last offering: look at the lettering. Even in those small photos the letters seem haphazardly applied (in both spacing and vertical alignment).  I guess my critique didn't make a difference.  Otherwise, rest of the facade looks good.  Geez, maybe I should offer to evenly apply the letters to their master pattern?

I agree with Peteski. The lettering gives it a hand up if you're modeling that run-down-post-white-flight-dilapidated-downtown look, with the letters all higgly-jiggly and about to let go and crack someone on the noggin' (or that my-five-year-old-did-this look).

Exactly the type of building I would buy but I have to agree with Peteski about the horrible lettering alignment.  Get out the narrow X-Acto chisel blade.  The upper lettering could be changed to a date and the lower could be covered by one of the many commercial signs available.

Since this is pre-production how about just leaving those areas blank?

A building I would buy as well. But I agree that letters need to be fixed. It does not seem like it would be difficult to fix in making the masters. But its attention to obvious basics like that, that make me balk at a kit.

Concur fully let the customer buy their lettering or print their own signs - part of making each kit "mine"

Otherwise looks sweet and just generic/deco enough I could probably use it in an Australian setting.

Ok, I took another look at the photo (ignoring the lettering this time) and I could swear that several prominent features on that building aren't symmetrical (they are symmetrical on 1:1 building's photo) .  I'll let you all guess what they are.

Interesting 
I might want one, but the lettering does put me off a bit.  The lower facade lettering looks like the old school Dymo Label Tape.  Trigger pressure would be considerably higher if the upper lettering were an insert of various dates/names and the facade was blank...

Personally I like it,though I would not buy it.It's just abit to fancy for my little town. 

I also think he should lose the lettering.
