Wow! That was quick! I just sent part 1 of the article to Pamela in early July!
I'm also amused that I first hear about it being published from Ron on the forum (I didn't get any notifications from the magazine staff). Not that I'm complaining!
To be honest, I haven't visited the N-Scale Mag. website lately either.
I did go through an email exchange with Pamela so I knew she wanted to publish it. But I have been really procrastinating as the first part took me over a year to finish.
Well, it wasn't strictly procrastination as I was always getting involved in side-projects (like my FedEx Home Delivery Dodge Sprinter, detailed pizza parlor interior and several others). Some of those projects will also become future articles. I do take photos of my progress during my projects and I don't mind doing that but I guess I prefer building and photographing than writing. When I compose the article, every time I re-read it, I see things I want to modify to make the article better. At some point I have to restrain myself from changing it and just tell myself that it is good enough.
This article is based on the writeup I did on the Atlas Forum. I guess I now really have to get cranking to finish the second part so it gets to Pamela in time for the following issue!
The funny thing is that the article will end up being pretty timely as the 2nd run of the models will be released pretty soon.
Edit: I was so excited about this news that I didn't even notice that both Ron and M C Fujiwara will also have articles in the same issue! Congrats guys! I'm in good company!
