There are pics in the Model 160 Medford show update . . .
I am. I want an RS11. Value is perceived, you evidently don't want a KBS unit as bad as I want a CNW one. Matter of fact, I would have bought one in any road and repainted it. I think it would be cool to have a Great Northern Hustle Muscle SD45, but I'm not interested in it enough to pay the price. I would rather spend my money on something that has more value to me, like a CNW RS11.
I suspect those are pictures of preproduction samples-again..The first coil car pictures showed up last year on their web site..Those are nice looking cars and if they're anything like their HO brethren they will be well worth the wait...
Trash cars received!!! No garbage smell - just new plastic smell!!! Question, is anyone planning to slightly ream out the holes for the trash containers so they can be removed or just force them in or glue them down. I've never seen these cars empty - in fact I doubt they ever are except at their destinations.
Value is a subjective thing. When I look at the prices on the competition and what they are offering for the same or less money I just don't see it. Now if there was a CB&Q, GN, NP, or SP&S would I have ponied up......yeah probably. I am hoping their price decrease on one of their more modern releases is something we will see on future models. Their U25B offering has disappeared. 80 plus bucks for a fun to have but don't got to have it is a little much.I sure do enjoy both of my GN SD 45s.
Nope, nothing was cut back, the shipment was split in two. The other half should be in stores in about a month.
The cars at the NSC are actually the production samples we checked two weeks ago. The rest of 'em are sitting in a container due in here mid-July along with the remaining RS-11's, Double Sheathed box cars, TM 50' single door box car, and the TM C&O caboose.
Sounds like we agree I took your first post wrong I think, and looking at mine now it seems kind of snarky.
Cory, Any word on the U25B release?
It's rather odd seeing the name 'Cory Rothlisberger' with only 12 posts on a message board.
Unfortunately, no...
