Top notch, thanks for the update Paul and Cory!  I have my pre-order already locked in at the LHS.

whoever is responsible should know that my order for KCS is already in.  And that deserves a big round of applause from me.

Sorry Cory, I'll blame my 6 week old baby (coupled with a 3yo who gets up at 7:00am sharp).  Things like being able to pay attention are still a luxury right now.

Same here.  I have absolutely no use for them.  Can't say I've ever even seen them before.  But they were just so pretty that I had to have at least a couple.

Paul they look great!   Is the IHB car a new addition, I just don't remember it in the original announcement?

The IHB car is a Golden Spike Club exclusive offering.  There are still cars available.

End placards:  Posts are removable, punch them out from the inside, or cut  them off.  Much easier to change than cast-on boards.  Thank you!

Social media are a great way to advertise. Facebook shouldn't be the only way, but it is a great way to get a lot of traffic in a short time without having to send out e-mails or wait for people to happen by their website.

I recognize many people don't do social media for their own reasons, but with so much of the world on Facebook they'd be stupid not to leverage it.

I agree with Dave that social media has definite benefits for manufacturers/distributors, but when you consider the target audience for model railway companies, it would be risky to rely solely upon it.  Continued use of the website (as indicated by Cory) will reach those like myself who do not use Facebook or Twitter.  I believe that while social media will continue to gain importance, a company's website is still just as, if not more, valuable in this regard.  I refer to them quite often.

Nice enough cars, but we need to work on the price a-bit.    I've been
picking up real nice Micro-trains PS1s on ebay for $7 to $8 per car (include shipping) ;)

The Atlas PS-1 seems to be priced appropriately for the level of detail, accuracy, ride height, metal wheels, etc. compared to other cars in its class. As you point out, the MT car is available at a lower price for those that don't want the Atlas level of detail. I don't think it is realistic to expect filet minon at hamburger prices.

Best wishes, Dave
If you lend someone $20, and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

I like how this went from a vendor posting updated information into commentary on how they should be posting it.  +1 ().

Paul, the cars look great. Oh yeah thank that Cory guy too!

Will probably be a lot of that going on as people clear out their collections of now inferior MTL cars.  Something similar happens each time an updated model, of whatever prototype, is brought out.

Yes, there is.

Hmm... depends on what
your definition of "is" is...

Two scientists create a teleportation ray, and they try it out on a cricket. They put the cricket on one of the two teleportation pads in the room, and they turn the ray on.
The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.
