There are or were two versions of B'mann's 2-8-0 engines Spectrum type around.  A recent one is DC/DCC dual mode; the earlier ones I have are not DCC dual mode.
The newer one I have has a larger tender than the earlier version.
Delightful engines.

Actually before someone else corrects me, I will add there are probably three versions of B'mann 2-8-0's around.  One came before B'mann re-invented itself and started with the Spectrum line.

The DCC 2-8-0 comes with the same style tender as the original Spectrum 2-8-0. They are one of the benchmark locos in N scale steam and well worth owning.

Oh don't get me wrong. I like the looks of the 2-8-0 real well and WM did use them. I was just disappointed to find that the Decapod I saw on TexNrails had not been produced. WM used a large number of those rough riding hogs and I thought it would be great to have one if it ran well.
Thanks again for the info.

:|     Even when Hell Freezes Over Bachmann will not do a Russian 2-10-0. If you are handy at scratch building you might make a foob usuing the old Trix Decapod mech which used a European Driver  Spacing on a PRR. K4 boiler.Don't forget the original Bachmann Reading Connie (definately not a Spectrum) and the 2-8-2 that used the same boiler. Nate Goodman (Nato).. Salt Lake, Utah.

Dammit...  Here I thought maybe Bachmann finally came around and decided to do the Russian.

 :RUEffinKiddingMe:

They haven't had enough Vodka to do the Russian yet.

If N scale had good SD40-2s, C30-7s, U30Cs, SD45s, SD40s, and SW10s; I'd be in N scale.
